Deborah Greenwade (daughter)

On Wednesday, July 15th, I said goodbye to my father, whom I love. For those who are wondering, for those who know, Bob Greenwade was an awesome man who protected those he loved and loved just about everyone he met. My father taught me that great men not only existed, but what it means to be a true leader. One who listens to you while holding your best interest in mind when decisions had to be made. One who talks to you and will hold you accountable for your actions, even when your actions calls for loving discipline. One who led by example and would never put you in a place that he wouldn't go or have not been himself. My father ALWAYS thought of others and ALWAYS put them before himself. He provided for us while alive and continues to provide for my mother now that he is gone.

As a warrior of God, my father showed godly love, mercy, and peace to the world as His Heavenly has done for him. He was a true disciple; not only learning who God is, but taught others by living a life lead by His wisdom and His Word. He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes, but he was a man of God that lead others to God by his actions more than his words.

I will miss him always and have comfort in knowing that he will greet us all in heaven as the leader of our family, always preparing for our safe arrivals.
